The Conservation & Management of Dal Lake was initially looked
after by Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED), but
in 1997, J&K Lakes and Waterways Development Authority was
constituted underdevelopment act 1970 AD to have a focussed
attention on the conservation and Management of Dal and Nigeen
Lake.
