Development of EWS colonies is under implementation in the State under 20 points programme. For development of EWS colonies in the State, funds are provided to SDA/JDA being the implementing agencies of the scheme.

                 Shifting of Boatmen from River Jehlum and Chunti Kul in Srinagar City has resulted in creation of three more EWS colonies at Sumerbugh, Bemina and Noorbagh, which are presently without civic amenities. These colonies are to be developed under this scheme. An allocation of `200.00 lacs have been proposed for the year 2012-13 under the scheme.
